How to Take Part in the Committee's Proceedings

The Select Committee on the Impacts of Screens and Social Media on Young People's Health and Development is currently consulting the people of Québec on the issues related to the impacts of screens and social media on young people's health and development, in particular:

  • Young people's screen time;
  • screen time control measures, in particular at school and on the Web, including access to digital learning tools;
  • access to social media, including video games;
  • cyberbullying, including the sharing of sexually explicit material;
  • minors having access to online pornography;
  • mehanisms used by certain applications to create an addiction;
  • ads targeting children on platforms and applications

You can contribute to the Committees' reflection by expressing your opinion in several ways, all of which are detailed below.

Online Consultation

The Committee members would like to hear your opinion and concerns regarding the Committee's mandate. You are invited to complete the online questionnaire in order to assist the parliamentarians in their reflections.

The deadline for completing the questionnaire is Friday, January 31, 2025.

Briefs

You can submit a brief in which you present your views on the mandate of the Select Committee. Your document will then be provided to the Committee members and may be made public at the end of the special consultations and public hearings.
