Committee on the National Assembly

Current areas of competence

• Establish the National Assembly’s Standing Orders and the rules governing the operation of the Assembly and its committees
• Coordinate the work of the other committees
• Authorize committees to travel or meet at locations outside the precincts of the Assembly
• Hear, if necessary, persons required by law to be appointed by the Assembly
• Deal with any matter that has not been specifically assigned to another committee
• Examine matters relating to parliamentary reform, through the Subcommittee on Parliamentary Reform
