Petition text
WHEREAS the population of Vaudreuil-Soulanges is constantly growing;
WHEREAS improving road safety is a priority for the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable;
WHEREAS road infrastructures no longer effectively meet our region’s traffic and connectivity needs;
WHEREAS the average annual daily traffic flow is 87,000 vehicles per day;
WHEREAS the impact of the construction of Autoroute 30 has not had the expected effect of relieving traffic congestion in the region;
WHEREAS, at the present time, no long-term solution has been proposed to improve the quality of life of the region's residents;
WHEREAS the population of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region is frustrated by the constant congestion in the area;
We, the undersigned, ask the Government of Québec to proceed with the completion of Autoroute 20 from Vaudreuil-Dorion to l’Île-Perrot.
