Who may consult this page?
This page is reserved solely for persons to whom exceptions apply under the following sections of the Charter of the French language (CQLR, chapter C-11):
- persons declared eligible to receive instruction in English – section 22.2, 1st para. and section 22.3, 1st para. (2)(a);
- Aboriginal persons – section 22.3, 1st para. (2)(b) and section 95;
- persons who immigrated within the past six months – section 22.3, 1st para. (2)(c);
- persons whose correspondence with the Assemblée nationale prior to May 13, 2021 was exclusively in English – section 22.2, 2nd para.;
- persons from outside Québec – section 22.3, 1st para. (2)(d);
- persons wishing to use the tourist services provided by the Assemblée nationale – section 22.3, 1st para. (2)(e).
The Charter of the French language applies to the Assemblée nationale du Québec in the exercise of activities other than those necessary for its deliberative function or for the exercise of its legislative power and of its oversight power.
